Time to put on your thinking caps, grab your pencils and notebooks and solve a mystery! And what more fascinating place to do it at than the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

You may have visited the Museum dozens of times over the years, but this is truly a different experience that will open your eyes to the museum in a new, fun way. Here's the scenario:

Based on a Sherlock Holmes story... Wealthy businessman Hilton Cubitt has been found shot dead in his elegant home. Next to his body lay his wife Elsie, unconscious and seriously wounded. Police plan to charge Elsie with murder, and currently see her shooting as a failed suicide attempt. A week earlier, Hilton sought the help of the Watson Adventures code-breaking experts. Elsie had received emails containing images of dancing stick figures. They seemed to cause her great distress, but she insisted that they were meaningless. The crime scene included a crumpled copy of a scavenger hunt involving nudes in the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where Elsie works on ancient manuscripts as a cryptographer. We believe that the scavenger hunt is somehow linked with the dancing figure emails—and we think these messages can prove that Elsie is innocent. Who murdered Hilton Cubitt? What is the secret of the dancing nude figures? We need your help! See if your team of sleuths can figure out whodunnit on this unusual murder mystery scavenger hunt. This is one of our more challenging hunts. We strongly recommend hunting with a team of three or more. If you sign up with fewer than three people, we suggest pairing up with others at the start of the hunt to form a larger team.

Please note that everyone must buy his or her own ticket on line! $39 for adults and $37 for seniors.

All tickets include admission to the museum. (Please note that Watson Adventures is required to pay admission for each person who participates in the event. There are no special ticket types or discounts for museum members.) The hunt is played on teams of two to six people. Total running time is approximately 2.5 hours.

As the Hunt will end at about 4:30, we will go for some Happy Hour drinks at a restaurant in the Art Museum neighborhood. We can make reservations for dinner later if anyone has an interest in doing so.
